Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!
In light of Holy Week, I decided to put aside our work with the resolutions that we might experience a more focused time of remembrance and worship. That is not to say that the resolutions aren’t connected to the meaning of this week. In fact, our resolutions are ALL about the story of Holy Week – the story of redemption: redemption of people suffering from the effects of natural disaster, redemption of those suffering from political unrest in their countries, redemption of those marginalized in our communities. So, as you remember the joy of praising God on Palm Sunday and wash the feet of friends this Thursday and wait with Jesus in the garden during the dark night and cry at the foot of the cross on Friday, remember the work of redemption in which we participate as we do the work of the Church through the resolutions presented to us as mission for the world.
Lovely reflection, Judith. Thank you!
